Is the miken ultra ii durable? I've heard it cracks easily.?

The Miken Ultra II is legal in my league, so I want to buy one. We play on concrete so I am worried that it will break easily. I've read reviews where people have said they crack.

How exactly do they crack?

Are they durable?
To FTT who posted below. Do you know of any bats that provide similiar performance of the Ultra II but are durable as well?

you play on concrete? what does that mean?
you are planning on hitting a ball with it, not the ground right?

as far as durability, it really depends on what kind of hitter you are and what kind of force you are exerting on it as you hit the ball. there are plenty of guys who hit with these high-end bats that are benefitting from the performance as essentially slap hitters. they will have a hard time damaging the bat. then there are guys who unload on balls with every swing and can easily damage any bat. you are the only one who can project how abusive you will be to it.

for the most part though, the Miken is slightly more fragile than other bats, but with a huge trade off as they do perform as advertised, and as the above answerer states, are extremely dangerous in the right hands.

as far as similarly performing bats, you need to consider the compression rating of the balls that are used in your league. some bats work better on higher compression, some on lower, so it kinda depends again.

the bottom line is, if you're playing 3rd base or pitching and some monster brings an Ultra II to the plate, be sure you are wearing a cup and mouth piece...
